The Creation of Water and the Ancient Separation

According to the Book of Genesis, on the second day of creation it is written:
"And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it separate the waters from the waters."
At this moment, the distinction between two types of water was born:

Upper water – the spiritual, pure, close to the divine light.
Lower waters – earthly, corporeal, connected to the material world.

The sages describe the weeping of the lower waters , separated from their upper brethren, as a constant longing to return to their heavenly source – and therefore they are drawn to the spirit, to holiness, and to consciousness. Since then, every process of connecting heaven and earth, between body and soul, and between science and spirit – is essentially an attempt to reunite the waters .

Who is the one who

In Kabbalah, it is explained that the upper waters are called "waters of purity" (male), while the lower waters are called "waters of impurity" (female).
The upper water expresses spiritual abundance that descends from above downwards, and the feminine water expresses desire and prayer that rises from below upwards.
When the two meet, a divine fusion of male and female is created, which gives birth to life, abundance, and healing.

In this sense, the "Sophia" system of Heaven restores the cosmic balance: it allows earthly water – tap water, disconnected from its vitality – to ascend again to the frequency of the upper waters, through vibration, light, precious metals, and frequencies of consciousness.

The sky – a barren background

The word "sky" itself carries a deep secret:

It comes from the root "background" – meaning, the spreading or compression of matter.
But it is also a play on words with "rupture" and "barren" – an allusion to the "rupture in the background" in which a new, principled and blessed space is created, allowing life.

Thus, the creation of the firmament is a moment of breaking unity into coexistence , so that opposites – heaven and earth, male and female, upper and lower – can meet and create a reality of movement, creation, and repair.

The Midrash teaches that as in the Exodus from Egypt, so too in every process of redemption – a person crosses his "inner sea", separates fear from faith, and allows the upper waters to flow through his heart again.

The word heaven itself is composed of the words "there" and "water" – that is, "there of the waters," the place from which all of creation emanates.
In a deeper sense, it represents the unifying space between upper and lower waters, between miracle and reality, between spirit and matter.
