Gold, salt and tradition
In many traditions gold, salt and gemstones hold a special place: the stones of the High Priest's breastplate, the salt of the covenant, the gold of the Tabernacle.
What is known
Salt and minerals are part of nutrition, and gold is a stable metal that does not react with water.
What has not been proven
Claims about "monatomic gold", effects on the body's glands, or healing with gemstones have not been proven. There is reason to believe they hold spiritual interest, but these are early indications that still need large-scale scientific validation.
At Shammaim
We see the breastplate stones and precious metals as part of tradition and inspiration, not a health claim.
